Mrs. Morrissey's preschoolers tasted various apple foods such as apple cider, apple pie filling, apple chips and applesauce. They voted on the most liked itemand cider won! They also made some applesauce. The students helped chop the apples, measure, and stir. The class helped mash the apples before eating the homemade applesauce.

Our kindergarten students had a great trip to the pumpkin patch last week. Here are some photos of Mrs. Wilch's class.
Explorer's Club students learned about pumpkins last week. First they made predictions about weight, height and circumference. Then they measured all of those characteristics prior to carving their pumpkins. Make sure you take a moment to check out their jack-o-lanterns at parent-teacher conferences.

Our 4th and 5th grade students participated in College and Career week on Career Day learning about a variety of professions. If you would love to tell our students about your job Mrs. Maiuro and Mrs. Hagemeier are always looking for volunteers for the upcoming spring 2024 Career Day. Mrs. Kreuger recently attended the Gifted Association of Missouri conference at Truman University. While there she was able to attend multiple sessions from leaders in the field of gifted education and neurodiversity.
Third grade finished their first unit in reading, which included the story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. We chose to wrap up the unit by having a Mad Hatter tea party. Students enjoyed snacks, drinks, and a “Mad” riddles BINGO.
Mrs. Keeven's math intervention group worked in teams to complete a Lost in the Woods escape room! They had to use what they have learned about factors and multiples to complete the tasks
Mrs. Stimac's 4th grade class came to Mrs. Kaimann's kindergarten classroom to read a Halloween book they chose and do a Halloween craft. Each 4th grader was given a kindergarten partner to work with. It's safe to say both grades enjoyed this activity.
Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. Please encourage your child to participate in the theme days and use it as an opportunity to discuss ways to say no to drugs.
Girls on the Run is about more than just running. The mission of Girls on the Run is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
