Spring Personality Picture Day is coming up, and we need your help spreading the word to families. While Wagner sends reminders directly, parents are far more likely to take action when the message comes from you.

Itโ€™s important for families to participate in Spring Picture Day because their purchase directly funds our ability to provide your school with safety and security tools, student recognition programs, and other valuable photography services. School outreach to parents on our behalf is essential to making that possible!

Elsberry's annual Parent Summit is on Wednesday, February 18th, from 6 pm-7:30 pm, doors open at 5:45 pm. Parenting is tough, and there is no instruction manual, but we can learn from each other. Parent Summit is a time for all LCR-II parents to learn together and support one another. Not only is everything free, but each adult attendee will receive a $10 gift card!

Dinner and child entertainment provided.
While parents attend their informational sessions, kids will enjoy a free show from world-renowned magician DJ Edwards!

Choose up to 3 sessions in one night! All sessions are 25 minutes each, and some will be offered virtually.
Informational sessions include:
- Teen Summit Presentation: Middle school students who attended the Teen Summit will share what they learned about drug and alcohol trends in Lincoln County and how parents can protect and inform their children.
- The Anxious Generation - Screen Time and Your Child: Looking at the research from the best-selling book The Anxious Generation, learn about the impact of screen time on your child and walk away with real solutions to reduce and monitor usage. In-person attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
- Nutrition for Children: Learn about the impact of nutrition on children, not just physically but mentally, academically, emotionally, and developmentally. Walk away with healthy meal and snack ideas and ways to make small, healthy changes at home.
- Navigating Change & Loss: Divorce, death, moving, new siblings. Life is full of big changes, and they are difficult to navigate for children. This session will give you practical advice for how to help your child through changes and loss, as well as when to reach out for additional help.
- Anxiety and Your Child: What is anxiety? What does it look like? How can you help your child through it? When should you reach out for more help? This session will answer all of those questions and more.
- Putting Down Phones/Picking Up Family Time: This exciting session is filled with hands-on ideas for entertaining and bonding with your child - without a screen! Get ideas for fun, easy games, crafts, experiments, puzzles, and more! Walk away with new ideas, activities to take home, and an understanding of why it's so important we play with our children.

"My grandpa Kenny passed away right before school started this year. My grandma Louise was looking for a project to occupy her time. She loves to crochet, so I suggested that she make a scarf for each of my students. She took the idea and ran with it! Each of my students received a scarf as a Christmas gift. They were thrilled and extremely grateful for the cozy gifts! And it brought my grandma joy to know that they were so happy about it. Merry Christmas!" --Ms. Ross

๐Ÿ“š Yearbook Hunt: Help Us Find 1964! ๐Ÿ“š

We need your help, Elsberry Community! We are SO close to completing our historical collection of Elsberry High School Yearbooks! ๐Ÿคฉ

We are currently missing just ONE yearbook: the 1964 edition.

We would love to display a copy of the 1964 yearbook in the High School office alongside all the others, but we haven't been able to locate one yet.

Do you, a relative, or a friend have a copy of the 1964 Elsberry High School Yearbook (or know where we might find one) that you would be willing to donate?

If you have a lead, please contact the Elsberry High School Office during business hours!

Let's complete the collection together! Go Indians! ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ–ค
