We use fundraisers to plump up the FOEL treasury so that every student is offered a free book in the spring. We also continue to provide textbook grants for qualifying freshmen who need a little extra financial help.

Our first-grade classes had an absolutely fascinating week thanks to a special visit from Nurse Practitioner Melissa Franke!
Mrs. Franke brought science and health lessons to life by teaching our students about the crucial importance of proper handwashing. The highlight? An eye-catching demonstration showing how easily "glitter germs" can spread! 🦠✨
The excitement didn't stop there! Our little learners got to participate in a hands-on "surgery" activity (to remove an "infected appendix"!) before concluding the session by taking the solemn "Surgery Superhero Oath." 🦸♀️🦸
It was an unforgettable, engaging experience! A huge thank you to Mrs. Franke for sharing her time and expertise to inspire our future healthcare heroes and germ-busters!

What a fantastic AAC Awareness lesson in Kaleb's class today! 📣
On Tuesday, Kaleb helped lead an activity where his classmates could only communicate using a choice board. It was an amazing opportunity for everyone to step into Kaleb's shoes and understand just how powerful and essential Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is.
Seeing the gears turning as the kids figured out how to use the board to share their thoughts was truly special. Huge shout-out to his teachers and paras for making inclusion and understanding a priority! ❤️
