We had so much fun celebrating reading last week. Our students love it when teachers join in on the fun also. Throughout the day Mrs. Yates transformed just like the tree in the classic story "The Giving Tree" by Shel Siverstein. If you have not read this story as a family, you should. It has so many life lessons to share.

FFA Week kept our students busy. One of the highlights of the week is always Food for America. FFA Members teach our younger students about a plethora of ag topics. The stations this year included ag issues, ag mechanics, entomology, floriculture, nursery and landscape, poultry, soils, forestry, knowledge, food science, livestock, and how to conduct a meeting. An album of photos from Food for America 2023 is on the Clarence Cannon Elementary Facebook Page.
