The 100th day of school has been well celebrated in a variety of ways today. No matter what, we are all 100 days smarter.

First grade had a wonderful field trip to the Myseum last week. Thank you to all of the parents who were able to accompany us on the trip.

Our nurse's closet is out of boys size 4-6 pants. If you have any you wish to donate, we will take them. We do not need any shirts, that tote is overflowing. Items can be dropped off at the elementary office. Thank you . Mrs. Hatcher, Elsberry R-2 Nurse

FFA Week kept our students busy. One of the highlights of the week is always Food for America. FFA Members teach our younger students about a plethora of ag topics. The stations this year included ag issues, ag mechanics, entomology, floriculture, nursery and landscape, poultry, soils, forestry, knowledge, food science, livestock, and how to conduct a meeting. An album of photos from Food for America 2023 is on the Clarence Cannon Elementary Facebook Page.

Next week is Read Across America Week! We have a lot of fun days planned if you want to start laying out the clothes and accessories.
Also, mark your calendars: for Thursday, March 2. Bingo for Books will be happenign from 5:30-7:00.

Happy Valentine's Day! Fourth grade students in Mrs. Keeven's class did some heart art after Evaluate testing. Their heart sculptures are lovely.

The ESD works with multiple local agencies to help meet the needs of our students. During National School Counselors week we wanted to recognize the extra counselors that come into our buildings to support our students. We are thankful for the extra support services and resources these organizations and individuals provide. These services are paid for by the Lincoln County Resource Board via local sales tax dollars.
