Fourth grade students were greeted with breakfast today before the MAP test.
Amanda Seeley has been a member of the ESD staff for 22 years. Now her primary role is elementary principal. Her journey to become an educator started at home. My mom was a teacher and so was my grandma on my dad's side. They both inspired me to become a teacher!

National School Principals' Day is May 1. Since we were not in session we are celebrating today. Mrs. Seeley has a quote in her office that says "If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart." A principal is the heart of a building and we are thankful to have her leading our elementary.

National Afterschool Professionals Appreciation week is ending. The ESD was awarded a 21st CCLC grant in fall 2011 to start Explorer's Club. In 2016 a new grant expanded to include E2 at the middle school level. Both programs continue today. Thank you to all of the staff, teachers, and bus drivers who work at EC and E2 currently and those who have been a part of afterschool througout the years.

Third graders have been preparing for their field trip to the Challenger Learning Center. This was a great time to learn how to do research, take notes, and then compose an essay. They have really enjoyed learning about life on the International Space Station.

STAY CALM
The fourth graders at CCE enjoyed a field trip to the Magic House on Thursday, April 20. The Magic House offers hands-on learning experiences for children of all ages that spark imagination, pique curiosity, enhance creativity and develop problem-solving skills.
