Absentee/Retake Day Picture Day is Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph any students who were absent on the initial picture day or any student that needs his/her picture retaken.
If you are having a picture taken as a RETAKE, please make sure your student returns their package in its entirety, including the package insert sheet, to the photographer on retake day. Feel free to attach a note to describe what you’d like us to do differently.

Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Gomel generously donated all cash profits from the book fair back to our students through the Friends of Elsberry Literacy. The Friends of Elsberry Literacy is fully funded by donations and 100% of the money goes to free books for all students in the Elsberry R-2 School District. The mission is to get books into every household. Thank you for supporting the book fair to make this possible!

Attention 8th Grade and EHS parents:
Elsberry High School is hosting the premier assembly Breakdown STL on Thursday, December 14th at 8:30am. All Elsberry students grades 8-12 will attend as well as guests from Clopton High School and Silex High School. This assembly features talented teens from around the St. Louis area who dance, sing, and act. They address tough topics including mental health, addiction, substance use, abuse, relationships, bullying, self-harm, and much more. Informational letters were mailed home on 11/30/23. During December EMS teachers have been recognizing students with positive office referrals. Here are some of the students who have already been selected. Keep up the great work!

7th Grade students in Mr. Kreuger's science class gave presentations about Newton's laws of motion. Students chose to present digitally or created a poster to share with their peers.











Mr. Kreuger shared more photos from his 7th grade science presentations. Students did a great job preparing and presenting their learning.

Mrs. Shoeman's fifth grade students and Mr. Joe studied the difference between wild and domestic turkeys using a variety of instructional texts before Thanksgiving. The students finished the unit by creating a large Venn Diagram, turkey informational posters and salt dough turkey footprints.









8th Graders in Mrs. Waller's class are performing poetry! It is the EMS version of a poetry slam contest. A poetry slam is a competitive art event in which poets perform spoken word poetry before a live audience and a panel of judges.
